Badminton
The Badminton Co-Curricular Activity (CCA) provides students with structured and progressive training in the sport.
Training sessions are conducted regularly and focus on developing fundamental skills such as footwork, strokes, and game tactics. Students are guided by teachers and coaches through drills, practice matches, and fitness activities to support skill development and physical conditioning. Opportunities are also provided for students to apply their learning during friendly games and competitions, helping them improve through guided practice and experience.
In the CCA, our players will:
- enhance their knowledge in badminton sport and skills on focusing, quick decision-making, winning and losing and how to deal with both.
- learn the basic skills and techniques of the sport such as serving, lobbing, netting, smashing and footwork.
- learn and cultivate good values such as responsibility, adaptability, tenacity and teamwork.
- enhance their ability to trust and let go when playing with their partners and learn about respect and sportsmanship while playing with their opponents.
- build social connections and enhance their communication skills.
